Andrey Kashechkin wants to start his own cycling team. He already has one sponsor, the one that backed him when he went to Lampre, AMPO. But they don't give enough money to back the team, so he's trying to get more sponsors to start this project.

Kash should become the co-owner of Yellow Fluo, that would be one hell of a Team. Only Yellow Fluo merging with Torku and getting a wildcard for every single GT would be better

It's a great race. If a course like Hamburg gets WT-status, we won't have to wait too long for Strade Bianche.

My only concern with Strade Bianche getting WT status would be that it might become too controllable and turn into a 1 hill sprint. It has been great racing the last few years.

Like in the Northern classic the narrow and slippery roads create bottlenecks that don't allow a whole 200-rider peloton to pass. Strade Bianche are not comparable to what we see in the Ardennes, and the race doesn't allow for much control.

Fair point. Hopefully you're right, it is one of my favourite races...

Good for him. I'll miss him, but its the right decision.

He either could've gone back on the fruitful orange juice or just biking around as a big name wildcards guarantee for Bretagne without any results.

So yeah call it quit and going to college actually is a pretty fine decision. No one can take away his great giro victory and the classics anyway

Cunego's enrolled in college. He should announce his retirement this month.

could also mean he will sign for Vini Fantini and ride on domestic level only.

Pozzovivo did the same, only left Colnago after he finished his studies
