OFFICIAL: Phillip Deignan is a horrible piece of work.
What do you mean?

Ferrand-Prevot made a clinical comment about Armitstead. Deignan (her fiancé) then tweeted, then deleted, 'having an affair with a married woman with children is also shameful', which would appear to be a reference to Ferrand-Prevot's relationship with Julien Absalon, and which is just morally indefensible (quite aside from the gender issues).
Why is it morally indefensible? I don't think having an affair (if you are single yourself or in an open relationship, where your partner isn't against it) with someone who is married is wrong. The wrongdoing solely falls on the person who cheats his partner.

I quite agree. I meant that Deignan invading her privacy by revealing that fact was indefensible.

Not to defend using a woman's sex life against her in an argument, but he didn't reveal anything. Google autocompletes the details when you type in her name and has been doing so for quite a while.

Ah, my bad. Thanks for the clarification.

Colorado will not return in 2017. It's also likely the end of that race as we know it.

A race with a different format may be its successor.

From Red Zinger, Coors classic and bunches of one day races, the picturesque Colorado can't seem to sustain a race...?
I know little about it overall, but large races in Europe go with a partial tourism angle and bet on people seeing the beauty of the race surroundings as a lure to there destination. Richmond said a few different numbers but all of them were extremely positive about revenue generated by the world's that were held there.
France,Italy and Spain all have fantastic beauty. California is...well California and has beauty and diversity in spades, for which I hope the Tour of California can be long running. It makes me sad to think that Colorado can't get it together for a good race. There are many fanatical cycling communities there. Do a training ride or crit in Boulder just see how deep things go. I know I will get slammed for insinuating big government but...the Colorado tourism board should look at this and get involved more.

Sad to hear about Colorado, the terrain has sooo much potential and just like fatandfast said, it's a stunning place and they have great cyling communities there.

Agreed with you both. Colorado is a stunning place and has one of the most deep-rooted cycling communities in the US, if not the most. Sad to see USPC go but in line with what Mayo says, the terrain and landscape were never very well chosen. Many possibilities which were never considered. I liked seeing your fantasy races there. Too bad USAPC was never allowed to go through the National Monument, especially since the revival of Tour of the Moon stage of the Coors Classic was one of the main forces behind its creation.

I remember counting last year and I think something like 40-50% of Americans on the WT were born in Colorado.

PLEASE give us stage 3 of this year's Tour de Yorkshire, and thereafter make it a one-day GP Tom Simpson. PLEASE.
It has to be a circuit. So, a run in with those climbs and crosswinds on the North York Moors, then a hilly circuit using the final climb of Stage three, around Scarborough.

Some Dutch madman is being trialled for threatening with bombing the Grand Depart in Utrecht last year, also threatened to throw hydrochloric acid on the riders. He was also in posession of a self made gun and rounds. Guy is a total nutjob, and it's reported it's the same guy who hijacked a plane with a fake gun eons ago and threw acid on famous paintings.

Power is a gifted rider - Expect him to be a GC rider in the future - Will ease into the season with a few one day races - Will probably ride part of the Revolution track series - Got a funny injury and no certainty to get through unscathed for the next 12 months.
