Well, in fairness, he owes us BIG TIME after the Dolomiti farce in the Giro.
Sure, but transforming the Lombardia into a climbers only race won't erase the problem with the Giro, riders now know that he is a cuck and since they are a bunch of pussies they are going to cry for cuts here and there again and again.

This isn't harder than the Como route with Muro di Sormano and Civiglio

Lombardia was a great race in recent editions, with big winners and agressive cycling, so why do they change the course again? I will miss the Madonna del Ghisallo. On the other hand I also like that mur of Bergamo with the Italian cobbles, so we'll see what it gives.

Maybe they could do without accidents on the descent from the Sormano climb for a couple of years?

We also did well without Trouée d'Arenberg last year. Unfortunately, only one year, not a couple of years.

It has been two and a half years, actually.

I'm not saying I agree with cancelling the Sormano climb for that reason but it could be their line of thinking.

Also, crashing there is more dangerous than in the Forest.

Just like in Imola the men and the women will ride the same ITT course at the WC in Wollongong next year. They will do two laps for a total distance of 37.7 km. That is a record distance for the women, but a 40 minute effort isn't much for the men. One reason for this (I assume) is that they are going to hold both races on the opening Sunday, which I think is a good idea, but still a WC ITT should take at least 45 minutes to complete for the winner of the men's race.

The men's RR will apparently be 271 km long finishing with 12 laps on an easy 17.5 km circuit, so even an out of shape Ewan might be able to contest it ;)

There will also be crowned a women's U23 champion for the first time, though it will just be the first in the age category to finish the elite race, which means that someone might win both titles. Hopefully a seperate U23 race will be on the program in 2023.

Weird they don't have the men do three laps then. But of course not surprising, I don't think we'll see a 1h+ WCTT again.

We probably won't, no.

I assume that doing three laps could result in some problems with too many riders on the course at the same time.

Only gradient wise, the longer climbs favours a lot more the climbers. Last year we had van der Poel in the top 10, something impossible on this route, probably it's too hard even for the 2010 god mode Gilbert.
