From the same article - what a bunch of whiners

He said many of the accommodation towers have building debris in them. There are piles of concrete and plaster in bathrooms and toilets and some toilets leak and do not flush. Wiring is also incomplete.

Jean Rene Bernaudeau this week we know.

Marzi on 21/09/2010 15h53

Decisive week for the team manager BBox since the name of his new team, the riders' contracts and bank guarantee must be deposited in the office of the UCI no later than Tuesday 28.

JR Bernaudeau, seeking a sponsor for over a year - "I lost sleep, I do not want anyone to know this situation" - spent the day in Paris on Monday and hopes to have taken an important step towards an imminent signing.

According to Ouest-France, it would be a huge French multinational been seduced by the marketing project of cycling. This group has surrounded the negotiations of the strictest secrecy. Jean Rene Bernaudeau, who said he was very optimistic, will hold a press conference this week, probably Friday.

Riders, of course, getting impatient. It has become impossible to replace Pierrick Fedrigo, party in the JDF. The incoming team will rely on Thomas Voeckler and structure Vendée.

Daotec, do you have any word on when Milram will announce what is happening with them? Ok at this stage it looks like they will be closing, but we haven't heard anything whether a new sponsor is set to sign, or the search has been fruitless and they will fold.

Fränk Schleck says some nice things about Bjarne and his 8 years at the team. He also says he has a good relationship with Bjarne and they already have agreed to meet occasionally over a beer (of all things :p).

Not the most interesting news, but at least it suggests not everything has gone wrong at SBS, and it's not all bad feelings, hate and regret.

Really hope Bbox stay together.

I really can't see how they could of done any better this season. They won't win a GT or a big Classic, but they won stages at the Tour plus the KOM, a stage at the Giro, a stage at Paris - Nice etc.

Edit: That story was apparently wrong

Just had confirmation from Team Sky that they HAVE NOT pulled their riders from the Comm Games. But Pete Kennaugh has decided not to go. 4 minutes ago via web

I have never been able to figure out w such a tiny population how Australia has these awesome sponsors like Jayco. Half of the sporting goods in Australia are really not for export. How many camp trailers are you guys buying?? It is really cool to see that sponsors step up and pump some cash into bike racing

It must be the profit margins. *Sigh*

I think cycling is a personal interest of Gerry Ryan, the founder of Jayco. So we are just lucky.

Bernadeau said that the sponsor was stalling and that's a 'good sign'. Not sure why they'd want to stall given the team has to register by Friday..

Sucks.

Just read on the front page that if Xacobeo don't find a sponsor in the next few days, then the team will shut down. No no no no.

About a month ago the team said they would definitely continue, as they found enough private sponsors to offset the reduction in sponsorship from the local government.

This week the team said it's definitely not continuing because it doesn't have enough money.

It's been a recurring theme this offseason. Teams making statements of confirmation, then going back on them.

They broke a road rule, nothing major here. I saw a photo of a the Polish team out training and one of them was riding sans helmet which is also another no no in Australia.

You aren't allowed at all, peroid.

People still do, but if police catch you they can fine you. Had to walk my bike home from school once when I had the bad luck of forgetting my helmet AND seeing a police car. :D
