"The outbreak of swine fever puts the passage of the second stage of the Tour de France through Collserola, the mountain cycling route near Barcelona, at risk."

Will it really be back-to-back years where the route is affected by animal diseases? Does it happen at any other race?

In honour of the 10 year anniversary of Alexander foliforov's stage win in the giro d'italia,, cyclists can enter into a 10.8km uphill ITT in Cyprus on 23 May 2026.

Entry is free, and you will have the chance to race against foliforov himself (his cycling training business is based in Cyprus)

There will also be an after party in the evening.

Details of the even can be found below:

Sprint party!!:)

I don't think so.

It will probably something like:

1. Reims - Epernay as a TT or road stage (could be hilly between the wineyards)
2. Reims - Charleville, hilly stage in the Ardennes Francais
3. Verdun - Metz, yes this is a sprint
4. Thionville - to something outside the region

Epernay was the Alaphillipe raid in 2019 wasn’t it? Feels like a bygone era now.

Presumably this will set the scene for a route where they do the Alos first and Pyrenees as the big mountain climax of the race which has been rare in recent years compared to when it tended to alternate yearly.

Well, they can really make difficult and tricky stages in Luxemburg. Especially the area around Vianden has nasty hills. If they stay in the area of the capital it's less difficult in general, but still enough to create an interesting not sprinter stage.
the proposed grand depart in luxembourg had a prologue and a sprint stage to esch sur alzette i think , so it would be a welcome surprise with something better than that

Are there any good stages that can be planned in Sardinia? Have there been good stages there in the past?
You have some decent stuff there, but it's far inferior to Corsica. Considering the poor routes of recent races on the island (Giro 2017 Grande Partenza, Giro Rosa visits, this year's re-established Giro di Sardegna) and the horrible Gran Salida in Piemonte last year, I wouldn't hold my breath.
