Don't know where to ask this. I've just rewatched part of last year Clasica San Sebastian. What's wrong with Jeannesson? He's nowhere near anything this year, DNFing all his WT stage races. Any news about him?

Several injuries this year took their toll on his confidence and mental state. I think he lost a tooth before the Giro for instance.

Wasn't he hinting at retirement if the latter part of this season didn't go well?

Edit: Interview here http://www.cyclingnews.com/http:/www.cyclingnews.com/news/pinots-tour-de-france-ambitions-dealt-a-blow-by-arnold-jeannessons-absence/

It is not just the Tour de France, though, that Jeannesson might miss. At the end of his downbeat message, the 29-year-old went as far as to cast doubts over his future as a professional cyclist.

"I am going to have to rediscover my confidence and sense of pleasure on the bike during the second part of the season if I want to continue to do this job," he concluded.

I don't know where to put this, so I just ask here. The giro d lombardia route isnt announced yet, right? If I am right is there a certain date where the route will be announced or could that happen every day?

I think I've seen that it's the same route as last year...?

This article about participants in the Canada GPs mentions just about everyone and their dog, yet former winner of both races Robert Gesink, is relegated to just the list at the end.

The gazzetta reports on the Italy team for Richmond. Cassani says Ulissi will lead, which is understandable, considering the last km is a false flat uphill (like Fiuggi at the Giro). Quinzato, Oss and Bennati make up the powerhouses. These are good choices, immense engines all 3 of them, and Bennati and Quinziato have great experience too. Nizzolo, Trentin and Viviani are expected to be the sprinters. Nizzolo is looking good, 3rd at Hamburg, and Trentin also. This leaves one spare space. Felline, surely? Cassani says Villella maybe. De Marchi, Moser, Bonifazio and Visconti, Cassani all mentions. He says Colbrelli must show signs of life, and Pozzato is no. So no Sbaragli, Modolo or others who I have forgotten.

Naturally Nibali is in it too.

If Colbrelli must show signs of life, what to say about De Marchi? At least Colbrelli won a stage and the GC in the Tour du Limousin.

It seems like Trek suddenly learned how to win. Already 5 victories in september, thats extremely impressive (and 3 of these were gt stages). Now I am finally convinced Zoidl will win stage 20 :D

I don't know if that was posted before but I just created a spreadsheet to see how the WT invites were distributed this year. Team Europcar had the most invites with 14 out of 26, followed by Cofidis with 13 (logical since they get invited to the French and Spanish races as well as the Belgian classics) then MTN with 11 and Bora and Wanty with 10 each.
Rusvelo was the only Pro Conti with no invitation whereas Team Novo Nordisk had just 1 (Milan San Remo).
