first a crash on altitude camp that broke his collarbone , now this


German cyclist Niklas Behrens of Team Visma | Lease a Bike will undergo an ablation at the end of March. This is a minor procedure to treat heart rhythm disturbances, allowing Behrens to perform at his best again. As a result of the procedure, Behrens will not race for the coming months.

Just saw a news segment from belgium. Signallers are aging out. Biggest group are aged 70-75. Barely any new blood.
They get 15 bucks a race.

Another reason, why cycling is not in a good place.

Are " Signallers" people holding the paddles at intersections? If you know the answer, do you know what the Flemish word is for those kind folks... If you want cycling to grow in Belgium, Germany, France, Italy.. Always make sure registration is at a cafe\ bar..

Sad news coming in from Australia, that Larry Hickmott, founder and journalist/photographer with VeloUK, has passed away.

An absolute stalwart of the British cycling scene Larry didnt just take the photographs, he interviewed racers, published results & had an encyclopedic knowledge of cycling in general, spending many hours travelling round the UK covering the sport in all its forms.

Will be sadly missed, thoughts with his family.
