I hope they get better looking kit, because they should get more TV time next year. It's always good to have money coming into cycling to offset the sponsors pulling out. The power balance is kind of shifting.

I only saw it mentioned one place - I believe AS.com - but Footon was listed as a possible option for Contador. I guess more money might make that possible. I'll be glad when he lands somewhere so everyone else can choose accordingly.

In person the Footon kit, bikes, and team car look excellent, it just does not translate on TV.

I thought Gianetti had left the team?

With this new budget they could probably compete quitewell to keep a PT spot as well. The competition for the PT will be intense for next year between the teams that are looking for renewal, new teams and teams looking to move up.

With the additional restrictions on pro continental teams we could also see a stream of riders abandoning some pro continental teams for the more secure PT teams.

I wonder how likely it will be for this squad to be at the grand tours next year, although the Giro probably is a given. This mainly due to the fact that Foot-on Servetto won't be one of those squads selected on the basis of UCI ranking, and amazed that Geox wants to take such a risk with such an investment

How is the UCI ranking decided actually? Is it the first 17 teams before or after transfers?

This is a really good new! I want to see the new kit, I think that is going to be really nice, maybe they are going for a dark blue - white kit ... The actual is kind of weird, I don't like that foot in the chest haha...

Well the good thing with this team is that they will have a nice budget, 50mill euros for 5 years coming just from Geox! and if you combine that with Footon and Servetto well... this team will be really wealthy and they are going big trying to get Menchov, Kreuziger or another star in the transfer market...

They already signed Il Principe Cunego, so they will have a really good Ardennes specialist and a nice shot for Il Giro, I really want to see the team for Cunego for the next year classics (Liege-Bastogne-Liege, Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallone, Giro di Lombardia, etc)...

Is Geox going to start making cycling shoes? My kid wears Geox sneakers--they flash when he runs. I'm not sure how that technology will translate to the Pro Tour.
