Few trade marked dying snail attacks. Lower top 10 placing. something like that. Hope he goes for stages though.

Robert Gesink is probably in training again, somewhere where its + 30 degrees.

Just to quit once again, because it's too cold.

How right would that be, there used to be the world in order.

Strange to realize how far it is from reality now.

Story of Bad Luck Brian. Drops everyone on breakaway.. But just today the favorites decide to ride for stage win. Gesink is just never lucky

He would really deserve a stage win. Hopefully he tries again one of the next days, but I have a feeling he's jinxed... Congratulations with his performance anyway.

Damn. It really looked like he's gonna make it at one point. Our Lord ain't got no love for poor Rob. Eventually it still was such a close call in his disfavor.

Good thing is: His shape looks more than just decently. Hopefully he's gonna try again for a stage win and maybe even polka dot on Thursday and Saturday. Gesink certainly was the strongest climber in todays breakaway. Pacing himself very well. So he shouldn't be afraid of De Gendt, Geniez, Fraile, Mate etc.

Would be supercool if he gets his stage win and reinvents himself in the very same way like Moncoutie did few years back at the Vuelta! All criticism apart, I'd be super happy for him. Especially after all that he's been through. I got very emotional today in front of the TV screen.

Poor Bobby, I thought he was gonna make it :(
Hopefully more breakaways coming in the second and third week.

Yes I was hoping he would win but Quintana was going too well. Still a nice performance.

Fabulous ride and good tactics today. He really deserves this. Good to see he really found his legs this Vuelta as he almost didn't start at all.

When the dead sprint, Gesink has no equal
I think there is actually only a few people who can sprint that long (300m+) uphill after such a stage. He showed the same in his Emilia wins and Quebec. After a long gruelling stage where everyone has been worn down, the diesel sprints best

Theres a hole where there used to be a ceilling in my room right now. To finally see him win a GT stage, and what a stage to win, was just glorious!
