Yeah, that too.

Although I can't really think of a location. Stresa?

I am out of ideas.
Who knows. Potentially, even a little town can ally with its neighbours and have a Giro finish. In a range from Pinerolo to Varese everything is possible.
Now that I think of it, Pontechianale is out of range.

Finish in Pinerolo after Finestre + Pramartino?

Bold, yes, but it's the last mountain stage... why not? Surely Pinerolo won't be more than 50km away from the top of Finestre, and if a shagged out Contador could do it on a 2nd Cat climb...

that could do, yes... And there would be descents for Nibbles :)

And I have to live up to my username. :D
I'm actually quite confused because I expected many descent finishes (or anyway meaningful descents) in order to make Nibali win. As for now, there aren't. Unless the stage of the Gavia ends in Bormio instead of the top.

i fear they already missed out galibier as they did it with l'alpe-d'huez in 2010 :(

Don't think that would be a bad news, either side you do the Galibier coming from Italy you have a lot of valley kilometer between the start of the Galibier and the previous climb.

they could make a mountain stage in Piemonte and then have the final ITT in Milan. Last year they transfer'd from the Stelvio... pretty long transfer indeed. Technically they could have the Galibier stage on Saturday and do the huge transfer, but... the Giro ending (basically) in France?
As for Torino, I don't think so. No rumours on that side.

Yes it's possible that the article meant Trentino as the actual one, and not the whole region. I'll put again Val Senales in the provisional route until the mistery is solved. :)

I was thinking about it yesterday. You could have the stage to Galibier on the second to last Saturday or Sunday and then have a massive transfer on the rest day to get to La Polsa.

Crazy?
How can you reach Galibier if on Friday you're in Vicenza? Quite crazy, yes. :p
