We have just reached a point where we have to be happy that Nairo is in this race, because otherwise the fight for the win would be too boring. WTF was that. Just incredible. One of the most entertaining mtf's I've ever seen. Only sad thing is that Nibali cracked hard. Not looking good for him.

Wow amazing win for Tom!! Hup hup hup! :)

Great ride as well by Zakarin, I would not have minded him winning at all, hope he can grab a win in the remaining stages

Nice try by Quintana, but he never really got a large gap, it always looked like Dumo had him under control. Never thought I'd see him counter him like that though.

Landa is back, sort of, big contender for a stage in the 3rd week.

Pinot, Nibali a little disappointing. Mollema, very.

For what it's worth, it should be said that Quintana is nowhere near his best. He didn't distance the others (not just Tom) with that attack has he usualy does.
He didn't have a chance, Oropa is quite easy. Blockhaus showed he is very close to his best, but this climb doesn't really give a great chance to attack and gain time.

Dumo dropped the rest on the cobbles. I'd like to see him in Flanders. I think he could ride into top 10.

Pellizotti was really good. Maybe even better than Nibali.

Blockhaus was already a huge sign that Tom was stronger than ever on climbs. Much harder climb and he didn't lose much. This stage to Oropa was always going to be easier, I was even surprised that the selection was so small at the end. I expected a larger group. Never expected to see Nibali, Yates and Pinot lose time here. Much less Quintana.

This win is impressive as hell. But Blockhaus was the real foreshadowing. I'll repeat myself and say - if he makes it past the Bormio stage in pink - or doesn't lose time - it's finished I think. Can't see him breaking like on the Vuelta Cotos stage with this form.

"The others" could ride Dumoulin's wheel at a perfect unchanging pace. I'm not sure that Zakarin and Landa managing to hold on to Dumoulin tells us much about Quintana's level.

Although this raises the question of what Quintana's "best" actually is. When was the last time he was better than this? It certainly wasn't last year.

Amazing tempo climbing from big Tom. That last kick on the line was the knife into Quintana wound. Mollema went classic Bauke here unfortunately. Notice that Movistar was not near his best dominance in the climb like they were in Blockhaus. Nibali blew himself in the last km !
