Break within arms reach of the peloton. Blistering pace so far to this stage.

Break got some room again but I can't see them getting many minutes today anyway.

Break starting to extend it's gap again.

So are Canondale going to put everyone on the front again seeing as they've missed the break, again?

The break should be fairly cooked by now. Cannondale, DD, Astana, Sky, UAE, etc. could probably control this stage with one man each until the first climb.

This is pretty fascinating. They just won't let the break go, and already 80k done. Really tough 5 man TT for the guys in front.

Cannondale is the most tactically inept team in the peloton and that says a lot with LottoNL also present.

Only 65km left to the first climb anyway, break won't have more than 2-3 minutes going into the climb and won't have a ghost of a chance of survivng.

Steppers putting a few blockers in and a Bora rider there too. Fascinating stuff. Love watching breaks trying to form. We should get early coverage more often.

Maybe it's a message from the Cannondale DS to all the other teams: "You let us into the break or we'll make it a shitty day for everybody!".

This is great racing for over an hour now! Everyone will be tired before they hit the climbs with no real break if they keep this up. But it is fun to watch!

I know what's the deal...
They want to start the rest day as early as possible.
