If anyone is going to attack it will be Pinot (and possibly Nibali ) ...Quintana is not the attacking type
Dumoulin though will be ver hard to shake

Nibali should attack on the top of Mortirolo/the descent. He is almost 4 minutes behind. He has to try something crazy.

And the other three have been stronger when it comes to climbing. At least in this Giro.

And real champion doesn't defend his 4th place.
140km solo? Are you kidding? He isn't Landis. Even from the top of the Stelvio will be more than enough

And he would waste much energy on way to Bormio, no point to do that Stelvio twice is enough

Considering the number of riders that's a very weak break for a mountain stage. Opportunity for climbers to get across.

Anacona in the break is good though. Bodes well for the stage generally.

Considering the facts that the beginning of the stage was flat and how many rouleurs and how few climbers are in this break, I'm almost impressed by the fact that Dombrowski managed to be there.

Nibs' team didn't make the break, so they worked to bring it back.

New break will no doubt form nicely just at the foot of the Mortirolo and just in time for live pics. Hopefully this bodes well for a great day of action.
