If Cyclingnews live report is right, Quintana is not happy with his team and ordered them to pick up the pace at the front of the bunch.

They said he wasn't happy with the make-up of the break or that is how I read it.

Wasting resources. No point pushing the pace on the flat and burning domestiques

Some of his teammates who are not that good climbers would't make it over the Mortirolo with peleton anyways so why not use them.

If anyone is going to attack it will be Pinot (and possibly Nibali ) ...Quintana is not the attacking type
Dumoulin though will be ver hard to shake

Nibali should attack on the top of Mortirolo/the descent. He is almost 4 minutes behind. He has to try something crazy.

And the other three have been stronger when it comes to climbing. At least in this Giro.

And real champion doesn't defend his 4th place.

Exactly, plus you want to start pushing Sunweb

Pure climbers like Pozzovivo and Yates should also try to eliminate the diesels like Jungels early on.

Otherwise he is a danger man for a high top 10 with the time trial in mind.

Jungels is probably better than both of them on a stage like today's anyway. Remember he was 5th from the field in the final mountain stage last year, less than 2 minutes behind Nibali

When does broadcasting start?

In about 25 minutes on British Eurosport.

Are you sure? I checked the TV listings this morning and they said that from 11 am to 12 pm they would be showing the highlights of the 2nd week.

That's what the app on my phone says. (On which I shall be watching it.)

It's the length of this stage that makes it so significant - almost as much of a test of endurance as a test of climbing. I suspect any early attack will be doomed to failure in those valleys and that the winner will come from pink jersey group - someone who rides very conservatively and is invisible until about 25 km to go. Normally I'd expect Nibali to do very well here

These climbs are way steeper though.

I would be surprised if he beats Pozzovivo, but let's see.

I have Watts now. Giro Extra is supposed to start in 15 minutes and the stage in 30 at least according to Eurosport Player.

140km solo? Are you kidding? He isn't Landis. Even from the top of the Stelvio will be more than enough
