If Quintana is a leader he stops all the leaders to wait on Tom Dumoulin, but he didn't he expected somebody would attack so he had a excuse, but he's simply a rider without moral. Lance Armstrong has more sportsmanship than Nairo Quintana and that says alot.

This.
A fan took out ullrich this to dumo is the same as losing your legs. It's a body issue

Re: Re:

This also shows Quintana *** up by failing to at least put in a dig earlier. You have to find out if Doumoulin's weak before the final climb on this sort of stage.

NOBODY WILL EVER WAIT FOR QUINTANA AGAIN !

What is Quintana supposed to do. There are other GC contenders attacking and one very dangerous contender in the break.

Once again, Nairo and Movistar could have easily organised a short neutralization.
They have done this time and time again, riding especially hard after a crash/unlucky situation
Qunitana's attack on the sort of neutralized descent, Movistar after SKY and Yates went down, Movistar now.... just to name a few.
But this is the worst of them all. The other times I sort of understand. Not now.
I don't understand why they aren't the most hated WT team by some margin. They're awful, have been for years.

Poopgate will be controversially discussed for years to come

That depends on the rest of the Giro. If whatever time Dumoulin loses today is about how far he's being in the end it will. If he ends up winning or losing by 4+ minutes no-one will care in a month.

Horrible situation for Big Tom but I don't know what Quintana was supposed to have done. Tom needs to limit losses and keep the gap to less than 3 minutes if possible. I think he will now lose the Giro today though as the other main GC main have still kept their powder dry for the last climb.
Nairo should pass him toilet paper.

Plus if Dumo gets on how long would you guys think is ok for Quintana to try and pull back the 4 minutes he needs ??

Nah, he shouldn't attack for the rest of the Giro because Tom is sick. That would be unfair.

Or maybe he just assumed Dumoulin would get ill or crack or whatever at some stage, and was just as focused on Nibali who will be getting stronger as the race goes on.

If he's feeling OK this attack is good news for Dumoulin, if the lead group explodes he can start picking off riders one by one. Which is good for morale and might give him some small drags, and maybe some help in the descent.

But that does assume he's about as strong as Quintana right now.
