Surprised to see action this early. Dumoulin really needs to get a grip of his bodily functions.

Yates, ONCE AGAIN, caught out due to his chronic inattentiveness and poor positioning. So far in his career, DS's have been far too gentle ..... I recommend a stock-whip as the suitable means of instruction !

Maybe he stopped for a pee as well.

Are Jungels or Formolo in the Nibali group?

What are you saying? Pee breaks are the most common thing you'll ever see.

How did that happen guys ? Did Movistar paced on the descent and peloton broke ? If anyone has insights thx !

Seems Movistar and Bahrain drilled it on the descent. Dumoulin must have been too far back.

Thank you very much!

Just wondering why are Orica and LottoNLJ pacing behind... What do they have to lose ? Their 8th and 9th spot ? Not sure that someone behind them on GC was with Nibali/Quintana group, but I might be wrong. TD can send them some flowers.

In case you weren't aware, riders stop to pee quite often, especially in the first part of a stage.

Dumo group has Mads Pedersen. They have this :D

And this is why you don't offend your rivals who are only one minute behind you before the last two mountain stages

It's 6 hours, of course you go for a piss early on no? That's pretty normal right? Heck if I do 6 hours I need to stop at least twice.

Just before the top of the uncategorised climb at 141 to go, there were 4 Sunweb on the front, with Tom and at least one more right down the back. My guess is that he went back to the car for a chat, or a #1 stop, and when the others realised and the descent started they went for it. The GPS has gone nuts, showing the gap varying from 15 sec to 2 mins, though a recent overhead shot suggests that it is less than a minute.

There's a time and a place though. You don't do it on the lumpy part of the stage when teams might be planning on attacking up or down hill. You hold it until the pace drops in the valley.
