I hope so, but I also hope for a hard race tomorrow, a fast tempo already on Duron and we'll get decent gaps.Tonton said:I like the way you think...it could be not much tomorrow for the top-4, but havoc on Sunday and heart-break for the rider or riders who haven't recovered. Stage 15 could be when things happen.DanielSong39 said:Predictions:
- Esteban Chavez DNS
- 1-2 GC guys will lose minutes (Froome? Aru? Dennis?)
- Time gaps will be small among the rest
- Most of the GC guys and their teams will keep something in reserve. Expect fireworks in Stage 15
- Stage 14 will be where someone loses the Giro. Stage 15 will be where someone wins it (Yates?)
I hope so too. I would hate to waste a day-off that I planned since the route was made publicMayomaniac said:I hope so, but I also hope for a hard race tomorrow, a fast tempo already on Duron and we'll get decent gaps.Tonton said:I like the way you think...it could be not much tomorrow for the top-4, but havoc on Sunday and heart-break for the rider or riders who haven't recovered. Gosh.. Andy was at the Bernal age that days...Gigs_98 said:Seriously, this is the point where no of you should answer to any posts written by the Chicken. If he was just a fanboy he wouldn't write his posts like this. He would write that he thinks Yates will win easily but he wouldn't insult other riders in every single comment he makes. This is purely about provoking and it won't get any better if you respond to the stuff he posts.
On l'Equipe TV, Guimard was one of them. I think that most "experts" have been burnt enough times that they err on the side of caution. It doesn't bother me. Maybe I should stop getting angry, but I seriously get pissed off and turn the TV off the second I hear stuff like that.

Maybe I should stop getting angry, but I seriously get pissed off and turn the TV off the second I hear stuff like that.. hrotha will blast me for writing this "platitude", but the riders make the race, anything can happen, and on Zoncolan you can't hide. I'm expecting a good show, did my prep for a jambalaya from scratch. It will be lunch time when the GC contenders hit (while I eat
) Monte Zoncolan. The couch is ready, the cushions are comfy, weather is shiite so I may not be able to ride. Bummer. Nothing like sore legs to be engaged
. I can't wait.
Easier said than done. I'll be a wreck by the time this Giro is over. I have so much at stake. When I see that shooting in Texas today, it's nothing though. It puts things in prospective. it's only sports.Valv.Piti said:Breathe, breathe......
Keep a steady flow of blood.
Keep track of your blood pressure
Agree. But I hope it doesn't happen. Because baring a blow back on Sunday (doubtful), he will open up the gap on Tuesday...game over.hfer07 said:I just have a feeling that Dumo is going to perform superbly on the Zoncolan- will he win the stage? maybe not, maybe a breakaway is likely to take it, but TD clearly understands the HOW to ride the Zoncolan, and yes-despite being a very tall guy, he can well pull a Basso 2010......
just saying...
Wow! Over. 96.Pricey_sky said:So how much time will Froome lose to the best GC finisher here? I’ll start the over/under at 90 seconds.
My 96, your 72, and usually we fall flat on our faces. So win or 150? We don't know and it makes it one more reason to watch.ClassicomanoLuigi said:Premonition: Froome will be dragged by Wout Poels through the upper reaches of the Zoncolan, unable to attack, will blow up and lose 72 seconds. The best is to go on steephill and get the Israeli TV. Good quality, tough to understandAmazinmets87 said:Anyone know where to find non-TIZ live streams tomorrow?

Liking something does not equal being good at it.
He might do well because he is able to do pretty steep stuff without getting out of his seat. A part of the extra energy he has to use because of his bigger weight could be offset by this advantage he has over riders who need to dance on the pedals to keep their pace up.
Brullnux said:Thing is though, Dumoulin won't go over his limit on the climb like Evans did. He'll just ride his own tempo, like Basso, and not try to follow anyone's wheel too much. I feel if the climb is ridden in robobasso style then it's Yates who will suffer.Tonton said:I don't know what to expect. i just re-watched the '10 Zonc on YouTube, Basso opening a big Gap on Cuggles between 2.2 and 1.6 km to go, going from a 30" advantage to a minute. The climbers need to stretch Dumo before that to hope for significant gains. I think it will be a great stage, I hope that yaco is right. For sure, it won't mark the end of Il Giro, but it's the first true test as fatigue is starting to accumulate.
