Pirazzi è veramente pazzo.
He's got great panache, if he would learn to time his attacks better he can become great.

Well done by Gadret, but Moreno would have been a more deserved winner.

Interesting to see Lampre do an epic leadout but then Scarponi had nothing.

I'm a bit worried about him going into the weekend.

Only 19 in the first group.

Lots of reasonable GC players losing a little bit of time.

And Sella was four minutes back.

when you have Petacchi leading the group up to the finish with at least 100 riders still there, no attempts by the top-20 riders to get time except for Kiryienka, Le Mevel and Kruijswijk and a rider like Gadret winning the stage because the rest were busy looking at each other you know it was a wasted afternoon.

Oh, wait. Kiserlovski finished with Cavendish.

What a great stage it was.

Thats 9 different teams that have won 10 different stages. Garmin have had a day in pink, and colnago BMC a day in green each. Looks good to beat last years tally of 17 teams who won a stage or had a jersey.

Did anyone abandon/DNS today? We are up to 186, and 188 finished yesterday.

re Androni: I think they feel Rujano can do something special over the weekend. They worked hard yesterday for little more than making sure he was positioned well in the chaos of the sprint. Today they kept a high pace which may have stopped anyone attacking the bunch and things getting a bit chaotic, they wanted to stay in control. They might even use Sella as a forward man in the breaks, rather than letting him give 100% to his personal objectives.

Hope he does go well, will be great viewing if he does!
