If this had been the 2023 Giro, every single one of you knows that this would have ended with a "battle" between Thomas and Roglic in the last 1.5k. Then you would have come on this board complaining about what a crap stage it was because "nobody attacked, wish Pog had been here."

Now you have Pog going from 14k out and still some of you complain. I know some of you are just trolling for kicks, but I get the sense some of you are seriously whining for some reason, and I can't figure out why.

There was only 11 seconds between the next 5 GC riders on this stage. You would usually expect bigger gaps than that and so it shows the stage can't have been mega difficult
Its basically La Mauseline 2014 with extra steps

What if the extremes on the bell curve arent necessarily good

He did write that the kilojoules were a record and that it was at high altitude, so LR put it as one of Pogačar‘s top 3 performances. Not too bad considering this isn‘t the Tour.
Kilojoules were, but intensity was far from . Where on the power curve are the extra kJ? Id guess somewhere fairly low

In addition, altitude before Foscagno was pretty limited and the valleys were fairly low.

What does play in Pogs favor is the Motte split right before Foscagno going at >6W/kg which something fairly common

What a great champion Pogacar would have been, if only he had let Quintana win.
Nario heard a whooosh sound as Pogacar blew by..and who called it? @11k out and the director says from the car, you can take back @3 and a half minutes uphill, alone.
That was just a display of genetic superiority he may have gone in the trailer to pee, but his bike should be checked for a motor!!
He put a real punctuation point on his dominance. And his post race interview had him looking fresh. And maybe he reads Cycling News and sees were he is getting some shade about destroying people, too easily. He took time to compliment people after he rubbed their nose in it

Lets ignore the 222km part of the race, the altitude, vertical meters and it being the last stage of the second week.
Thinking other rider could do better than Pogacar today, doesn’t mean Pogacar did a bad perfomance. He did a good perfomance.

If you think Pogacar would be unbeatable today, that's ok, because it's your opinion. Other people can have different opinions.

How is this your response to that.

Yeah, you can keep posting your irrelevant numbers. Fine by me.

Are you afraid of people thinking that Paul Double is actually better, or why do you feel the need to write this? Just enjoy Pogačar being great instead of engaging with every joke.

I think so, but from where? His cheeks? Yesterday's picture with Ganna show a skinny Pogi, no fat whatsoever in his upper torso.
But all of them look skinny and Pogacar isn't skeletal like Vingegaard or Froome (and I'm not even comparing him with Rasmussen), so maybe he can lose some kilos.

One little thing that does make me chuckle is how in 2018 Froome made this calculation that if he is the strongest rider in the race, the peloton gets blown up so everyone is on his own and he attacks with 80km to go he can do the unthinkable and gain 3 minutes on one stage. Meanwhile Pogacar has a little pull by Majka on 6% gradients, attacks and gains 3 minutes on 15km.

Yeah, I know, completely different scenario, completely different opponents, but still. The best gc rider in the world gaining 3 minutes was the craziest thing in 2018 and it took an insane 80km solo to achieve it. Now we are barely surprised when the likes of Pogacar and Vingegaard pull off this kind of stuff.

Not a bad idea...
