I'm not sure much of that is down to the wind and how much is down to the corners. They are much slower on the flat part than I expected. No way they go sub-50'.

Mostly wind I think.I'm not sure much of that is down to the wind and how much is down to the corners.
Pog goes under 50 minutes, when the headwind later becomes weaker.
This is the most standard ITT Pogacar has done since probably the 2022 Worlds. He does so few of them.Let's face it, if this was the worlds ITT we'd be expecting Pogačar to lose two minutes on the winner. The final climb isn't steep enough to compensate for the first 34km's for pure rouleurs.
The fact he's mentioned as a possible stage winner here is solely on the expectation he has his GT legs.
He would crash himself on an easy corner, gesture at the camera for a minute about how it's the organisers fault, get back on his bike and win by 3 minutes. I miss him.I'm going to post something super controversial here but I think Evenepoel would have demolished this ITT.

Climbing section is also going slower than I expectedMy expectation yesterday (without wind in mind) was that Ganna would ride the flat section at 54 km/h.
Much more than yesterday. Probalby more than tomorrow as well for the top GC guys. They'll be under their limit nearly all day tomorrow and they'll be at or just under their max for probably 15-20 minutes tomorrow compared to 50 minutes todayHow much fatigue will a stage like this generate compared to a stage like yesterday or tomorrow?

You made me remind of stage 3 of the Vuelta when he won on Arinsal 😂 i also miss him!He would crash himself on an easy corner, gesture at the camera for a minute about how it's the organisers fault, get back on his bike and win by 3 minutes. I miss him.
Crushed it.Milesi is 24" behind Affini and Hoole at the second intermediate and at least 10 kg lighter than both.
If he still has something in the legs he could get close.
Just rolling gently across the line, so it's more a case of saving himself for more donkey-ing. A shame, as it would have been interesting to see what he could have done now that he has shown a tiny glimpse of form in recent weeks.Tobias Foss has hit his Tony Martin Jumbo period
