Even Valverde would have been more interesting, because Movistar would probably have done something stupid on the run-in before he bailed out the team car with a mountain sprint.

They made Prati di Tivo look like Montevergine di Mercogliano or San Martino di Castrozza.

Nah, it's not that he had to try hard to get their wheels, he just upped the pace to not going slow uphill, for his standards.
