I don‘t think Pogi‘s leadout was that decisive. He spent most of the time riding to the front and only actually pulled the group for 100-150 meters. I think they could have still caught Narvaez on the line otherwise.

I dunno. They caught him really close to the line and Pog did a fair amount of catching in the time he was at the front. I'd say Narvaez wins without Pog's turn

Did Astana finally realize their team is completely dead at the end of 2025 if they don't start scoring point. Sprinting with 3 guys lmao. Someone has to tell them that it's basically a mission impossible already tho.
Did you see them sprinting or do you see them 3 in a row in the results cause Lutsenko's DNS is one of them?

Etertaining finale once again. These intermediate stages are delivering every single time this year.

Great attacks from Alaphilippe, Costiou and Narvaez! I really thought the latter would make it. Another heartbreak in Napoli after De Marchi/Clarke last year.
Even greater to see the Maglia Rosa up there as a leadout. That's what the tifosi love!

But he is right. He is risking a crash by doing a great leadout for a mediocre sprinter.

He was always pretty close to the front, my memory check claims that that's usually a safer space than in the bunch behind. This way he also had free space in front of him in the corners.

I applaud him for wanting to help his friend, as he said in the interview, but it's still sad Navarez didn't win because of it.

Pogacar saving energy yesterday to chase a great attack of Narvaez and lead out Johnny Milan today. After skipping a great battle with van der peol on the classics to come and dominate giro, it's now clear he hates cycling fans

Pog wanted to save cycling fans from beating MVDP again.

He might be wasting energy but I don’t think he’s risking a crash by being in front. He came up along the side so was not in a tight spot there either.

That stage is way harder, I don't see any way a sprint team can control that, nor do I see how sprinters survive that.
Overall far harder and more suited to an early break, but only a single climb in the last 30 km. I think there's a fair chance (10-20 %) that it is won from the peloton.
