1. [USA] LEIPHEIMER Levi RSH 31h45'02" 240
2. [ITA] CUNEGO Damiano LAM 04" 180
3. [NED] KRUIJSWIJK Steven RAB 01'02" 145
4. [DEN] FUGLSANG Jakob LEO 01'10" 132
5. [NED] MOLLEMA Bauke RAB 02'05" 120
6. [SUI] FRANK Mathias BMC 02'24" 108
But Frank was indeed impressive, not so much in the TT but in the Liechtenstein stage, where he crashed at the bottom of the climb, and came from way back to pass almost everyone and finish 7th. He doesn't seem to hold top form very long though, he was nowhere the rest of the year.

Didn't he break his collarbone a month ago? He could still come round for the Giro.shalgo said:Another Giro climbers' jersey does not look likely:

And indeed, if Kreuziger could finish top-10 in last year's Giro, I don't see why the hell not this year.

theyoungest said:Basso looked quite good to me, on those few images. Maybe he'll do a good Giro after all.
theyoungest said:It's indeed too bad that Pozzovivo is too frail to make it to the mountains of a GT unharmed, but this was a great show. Basso looked quite good to me, on those few images. Maybe he'll do a good Giro after all.
And jeez, do Coldeportes suck so far. But they had a great time during recon, apparently.

Parrulo said:I honestly agree with theyoungest on this, from the few pics we got of Basso it didn't look like he was struggling with the climb like he was supposed to be doing due to the % but was instead just cruising along getting some racing miles into his legs.

Some people don´t realize how good performance he did yesterday, only couple very light „flies“ such as - Pozzovivo 53kg,Szmyd 59kg,Rujano 48kg,Cunego 58kg were in front him during this madly sharp hill, for the 66kg heavy Roman it´s excellent result and time deficit…He just doesn´t like those sharps ones like yesterday or Zoncolan,on the long hills he will be hardly beaten by anyone…
Peccio89 said:You're absolutely right about the fact that yesterday performance was amazing for someone with his characteristic; his problem is that the Giro will be decided in the last three days, and with the form that he has showed so early in the season( Tirreno first, and now here in Trentino) i'm wondering if he will be able to keep it up till the end of May.
In any case i don't see him outside the top 10, and i think that with a good TTT he has a shot to be in pink after the Cervinia stage.

"arrivo su un imbiancato Passo Pordoi (strada in perfette condizioni)"
