Nibali should pull back 1-2 minutes on the Crostis descent if he is dropped going up but will just lose it all again going up Zoncolan. He is a much better descender than the other GC men but my gut feelings may be coming true tomorrow.

Here comes the hour gap between the maglia rosa and 20th place by Sunday night.

Hoping it doesn't rain for Rujano's sake.

lol, nibali is lucky to take 20 seconds con contact in downhil, back that is because he will be dropped long before the top

Haha Nibali is a better descender than that. Either way it really doesn't matter because if AC pushes then Nibali will end up 5 minutes or more behind at the top of Zoncolan.

here Bjane Riis tells that Conti wasn't supposed to attack today and only follow, but when the others couldn't make a proper attack, he told him to try two attack without going 100%. After the second 'attack' Rujano followed, which was enough for them to make some easy time.

To me this sounds like he was merely trying, and if he would, he could easily gap Rujano.

Can't wait for tomorrow :D

It certainly didn't look like AC really laid down a major attack.

Here's the English version of the above:

My prediction is that Contador is gonna destroy everyone tomorrow in a fashing that hasn't been seen in the modern era of cycling.

arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh! my legs exploded 1.5km into the crostis descent, which forced me to abandon reading. i hope to recover overnight, then resume first thing in the morning.

with luck, i won't have to wait long for assistance from a neutral reader on the ascent of zoncolan.

whew! that there is suuuuummmmm kinda' writin', hitch. i will be sure to have extra water bottles and energy drinks stacked beside me *before* i start watching saturday morning.
and the best compliment.

That's a shame, I would have at least expected they would take the route they proposed as an alternative to the Crostis

Well there went any chance for Nibali to catch up.
I'm a little depressed, but then I see the Zoncolan and I smile again!

Did she really have to pick out one of the most boring days of the giro for this? Perhaps if she watched tomorrow or saturday she would get excited as well, not really the case with the stage of today

now that would've been awesome ! but she'd probably just yawn and say it's boring :p

But now for the good news, Rujano will now have a good chance of winning the Zoncolan :D

After all the anticipation I feel a little cheated, I would have loved to see the Crostis.

Nonetheless I still hope the stage will be epic! I'm such a positive thinker.
