Make them go up and then down and then up the Zoncolan. The road is good on both approaches, right? A few plastic barriers down the middle of the road and we're good to go. :D:D:D

Well, if I am correct, there are three manners in which you can climb up the Zoncolan, so it could work.

:D

Where does Sella start his attack from now? Rujano can then bridge up and it'll be Grande Ballon (?) all over again, replacing the Schlecks with the Androni's vs. Contador.

Even better! No need to worry about someone flying off line into a climbing rider.

It's sad news, but remember that the stage still has the hardest climb we've ever seen in any GT.
Ultimately, that is what will make it terminally dull.
It's not like last year, when we had 2 equally matched men. This year we have one man and a man child. The rest just saw their "slight" opportunity fly out the window.
Now, it will just be a slow motion version of what we had today.

Roll on stage 15, where something different might happen.

No Monte Crostis because of the bad weather? I can understand that decision. Too bad though, wish the weather was good:/

Well, what can you do. Better to err on the side of safety, especially in this race after what happened already. Hope they can put another obstacle before the Zoncolan though.

Stage 15 will be this different: we'll see the man and the hobbit fly away in the second last climb ;)

I can't remember having seen that very often in recent years.

EDIT: Hitch, please, I miss the thread for stage 15 :D

Is this the confirmed stage profile? If so, I am terribly dissappointed, I would expect at least something instead of the Crostis

Nah it's just a rushed photoshop. The Zoncolan is actually the Crostis if you look closely. :D

I need to say this argumentation is ****. If this was the case why not bring this up earlier, why wait untill the last moment, it was known long in advance that there would be no team cars

"What was introduced to us as a safety problem suddenly became a sporting problem today," Vegni told Cyclingnews.

"They have found another way to prevent this stage happening as it was planned. It's a pity because a lot of hard work has been done to make sure the stage was safe. The route was discussed and okayed by the riders in Catania before the transfer on Sunday."

This really is crap. Now I hope that Contador completely destroys the entire field and wins every stage of the rest of the Giro and the tour, just to completely **** off the UCI and show the completely farcical nature of this circus

EDIT: Don't mind me I was just ranting

Wicked. Contador to beat 3rd by 2 minutes instead of 5.

He's got that on second, too. Rujano goes, only AC can follow. A few jumps by AC and either he's free or Rujano joins but is in the red and one more attack then AC is free.

Thanks to the bloody carrots today and the decision to drop the Crostis from tomorrow's stage it now appears that Saxobank will go into stage 15, which looks extremely difficult for one team to control, as fresh as a daisy. Great.

Why would we mind, when most of us agree.

No team support? I look forward to the UCI's review of Paris-Roubaix.
Presumably, they will have to cancel that race, now?

Just got back. Most important question. What is the weather like for tomorow in and around the Ovaro area in Northern Italy.
