Pinot gets caught between gaining time and winning the stage, unless you're a world class mountain sprinter you cant really have both.

I was surprised there was no stomp/attack by roglic near the top of either of the last climbs. Interesting.

So congrats to the thin man's Ganna on winning the stage! As for the GC action, Primoz is back! Almeida lost time but unfortunately G. was right on the Slovenian's wheel all the time. Kuss is very strong and we are in for a spectacle tomorrow and possibly a nailbitter on Saturday. The race is very much on.

He clearly accelerated during the time Zanna and Pinot finished. Almeida had almost caught them and lost 20 seconds in the end.
He and G paced the climb together, i didn't see an out the saddle classic watt bomb from roglic

Here and Fossombrone. Rogla is Bota Lume's kryptonite, attacking and forcing a selection to the benefit of Thomas too.
