There are some mountains points for fastest climb, right?
Frankly, nobody expected this from Zana. Shows you how bad Bardiani were during the last few years...Signing Dunbar and Zana was pretty good business by Jayco last off season.
He clearly accelerated during the time Zanna and Pinot finished. Almeida had almost caught them and lost 20 seconds in the end.I was surprised there was no stomp/attack by roglic near the top of either of the last climbs. Interesting.
Especially since he's from VenetoWinning a Giro mountain stage in the Italian NC jersey (a proper one too) is a nice feather to put on your hat.
So congrats to the thin man's Ganna on winning the stage!
He and G paced the climb together, i didn't see an out the saddle classic watt bomb from roglicHe clearly accelerated during the time Zanna and Pinot finished. Almeida had almost caught them and lost 20 seconds in the end.
I thought he might be better than what he showed at Bardiani but didn’t expect his climbing to be this good.Frankly, nobody expected this from Zana. Shows you how bad Bardiani were during the last few years...
G has rode a canny race. Put his nose into the wind less than the other 2, but gained time on both. Race on for the next 2 days though.GT looking good!
PR not done yet!
NoIf Zana ever gets a thread "Thin Man's Ganna" should definitely be included in the title!
He always had his best results in one day races, so I expected him to be more of a one day racer/stagehunter on hilly terrain on his new team, not something like this.I thought he might be better than what he showed at Bardiani but didn’t expect his climbing to be this good.
37 today.Thomas really is peak form at 36 lmao
