He's already said that a stage win isn't his concern. He's got the GC as his goal with one eye on the tour. His words, kind of.

I have to admit, Landa is playing the teammate role very well. Much better than Stick Insect Froome did in 2012 to Wiggins. Clearly Landa could and should be second in the race, but he seems content to let Aru have it, and to babysit him.

Well I'm guessing another Giro podium would've mean less for him than anyone but Contador. BTW, on Contador, all that needed to be said is that his next Giro stage win would be his first. Which is why I think he's a prime candidate for tomorrow (as someone pointed out a few days ago, he likes to win on weekends).

Good ride by Aru, but he must be a bit sour about this win. Surely he knows that Contador sees him as no threat, he probably won't say anything but it would probably hurt his confidence a bit.

I don't think Contador gives a ***. He didn't win a stage in 2008 and it won't bother him that he didn't win a stage here. Stages are secondary. Winning a GT is the most important thing.
