I don't care as long as the Giro 2016 can start tomorrow already and have the same tension as this years....

That would definitely be something new. The 2016 Giro d'Italia will start on June 2, 2015. Back-to-back with the 2015 Giro.

I've heard rumours about a MTT in Veneto but not Monte Grappa and possibly a Zoldo Alto stage.

I went up Monte Grappa I'm pretty sure, think it had 28 switchbacks 2 weeks ago in the rain. I really enjoyed the climb if that's the correct one. Also Eshnar Vesuvius I had the fortune of visiting 3 days ago (unfortantly on a bus as family were with me) but I would have liked to cycle. It seemed not too difficult to be fair and busy! But obviously they'd make it a good spectacle. Out of interest as I was going to research when was the last time they went up? Another ok climb I had the pleasure of was in Amalfi (just before) up to Agerola. That's a nice climb and picturesque.

I hope there will be a stage to austria again. The last one was in 2011 so it would be time :D

Vegni hinted in an interview that the 2016 Giro will have more climbs at high altitude, but who knows.
We all want to see that combination, it would be awesome but for me a stage with Fauniera Sampeyre would be even better.

Well that most likely means Stelvio/Gavia returning next year. Or Grossglockner maybe. Still, this is the Giro so I wouldn't actually be surprised to see them trying something new every once in a while.

Now, where's my Crostis MTT? :D

What I want to see

Stage finish in Nijmegen, featuring some hills in the end

Stelvia-Gavia-Mortirolo-Padrio combo

A mountain stage around Cortina d'Ampezzo with at least 6 climbs

Agnel Lombarde Sampeyre Fauniera combo, maybe I *** up my geography

Passo di Tremalzo from Limone sul Garda (don't care about the state of the road

Rifugio Altissimo starting from Torbole (don't care what the road surface looks like)

A stage with more strade bianchi then road in it

150km + of individual tt's

A queen stage

My hopes are:

A big stage in the dolomites featuring fedaia and/or giau

A stage in austria (thats not something which would make the race much better but as an austrian I think its normal to hope something like that)

Fauniera-Sampeyre Combination

Zoncolan as a pass (extremely unlikely but it would be sooooo awesome)

Edit:
Vesuvio or Blockhaus early in the race

a MTT

I want:

- A sterrato stage
- A 7 hour Dolomiti stage, preferrebly with at MTF at Fedaia or Tre Cime Lavaredo
- A Gavia-Stelvio or a Sampeyre-Fauniera double
- Perhaps a MTF at Bondone, Monte Grappa, Merano 2000, Alpe di Siusi, that is a long and tough MTF.

Hadn't heard of Tremalzo or Rifugio Altissimo before. MTB's realm much? Also had a good look at the nearby Colle Barbara. Looks tough even without climbing even higher (which can be done it seems). And I'd really like to see the aforementioned combo with a descent finish into Isola. One can dream...

Is Apeldoorn safe now?

Cyclingnews lately assumed the Giro 16 could still start in Berlin or Austria, but from my memory Appeldoorn was already safe!?

I wanted to bike there to as it's not far away from Enschede!

It's in the neighbourhood of where I go on holiday. Both start practically at the shores of Lago di Garda. Rifugio Altissimo I think is mountain cabin on top of the Monte Baldo higher, if you start in Torbole, you get there in 20km of bad road, concrete plates and maybe even some roads the ancient Romans threw in the road themselves (haven't seen foto's haven't been up that high myself)

Tremalzo I just found browsing for climbs I could try, profile looks tough as ***.

Red Rick already started posting crazy hard climbs, so I want a stage that features another ungodly step monster La Stentaria/Passo della Frocella, then they should descent down to Lateis and climb up to Sauris di Sopra, 6,3km at 6,4% right after the descent ends, that would be total carnage and you could use a few hard climbs before La Stentaria. :D
The climb has already been paved and only 2-3km of the descent would need to be paved.

I believe these climbs are actually usable, if you get over the fact that they're MTB tracks.

Did I mention you can descend from Rifugio Altissimo and then head to Scanuppia within 20km of flat?

I've heard rumours about a Alpago MTT.
Yes, Veneto wants 2 stages. The candidates are the MTT to the Alpago, a stage involving Monte Grappa (one of the northern sides though) and a stage finish in Sappada (not to the Sorgenti del Piave as the road needs too much work, but into the town itself like in 1987).
There will also be 1-2 stages in Friuli. One, almost certain, will be to Cividale del Friuli (medium mountain stage across the hills at the Slovenian border). The other, maybe the Piancavallo MTF I was talking about, but it seems less likely now.
There are a ****load of rumours in Campania. Montevergine (MTT or ITT... MTF seems discarded), Benevento/Sannio area and Vesuvio MTF... the latter is the more likely.
The most interesting part of the route, for now, is whether they'll go to the western Alps for the third week or not. I would say not.
