Hang on. There were four Willier riders among the first 6 starters? :surprised:

Mullen cramping up

Seems like he's gotten over the issue now. :D
I ain't got no clue why Wilier has received wildcards twice for the Giro d'Italia instead of Androni Giocattoli when Andronis rooster arguably was even stronger in 2016 & 2017 than it's now!

Yates: 58x11
Dumo: 56x11

I feel like this is going to backfire tremendously for Yates. Just seems odd for a small, lightweight climber to go with this gear for around 45 minutes.
seems there's a tailwind though
Average speeds look a lot more like headwind.

According to Tuft it was tailwind.

Svein Tuft spoke to Eurosport after his run and he says that he had a tailwind for his effort, which he believes will help his teammate Simon Yates if it sticks.

And then he was unable to start this year. :(

Sean Kelly said there was a headwind on course when they did a recon earlier.

If Pedersen is relegated, how would they go about deciding how much? A calculation of how much time he gained by his drafting action?

Not sure it’s possible to calculate a specific amount of time. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was relegated to last in the standings.

That would be bad.

(He has a bet going on with Mads Würtz Schmidt.)

Yes, Ashley Howes (sp?), Pedersen is the Danish champion, it's just in the wrong category...
