I feel like this is going to backfire tremendously for Yates. Just seems odd for a small, lightweight climber to go with this gear for around 45 minutes.

Average speeds look a lot more like headwind.

Seems like he's gotten over the issue now.

I ain't got no clue why Wilier has received wildcards twice for the Giro d'Italia instead of Androni Giocattoli when Andronis rooster arguably was even stronger in 2016 & 2017 than it's now!

According to Tuft it was tailwind.

Svein Tuft spoke to Eurosport after his run and he says that he had a tailwind for his effort, which he believes will help his teammate Simon Yates if it sticks.

Not sure it’s possible to calculate a specific amount of time. It wouldn’t surprise me if he was relegated to last in the standings.
