I don't get why Carapaz and Lopez can't just easily ride Dumoulin off their wheel. I mean they haven't been in the wind for 70 kilometers and this climb should suit them well.

I don't get why Carapaz and Lopez can't just easily ride Dumoulin off their wheel. I mean they haven't been in the wind for 70 kilometers and this climb should suit them well.

Dumoulin is a better rider.

Yep, this has probably been Dumoulin's most impressive ride ever. He's been 2nd best on one of the hardest mountain stages you'll ever see in a modern GT.
