Ciccone dropped? ****
You put some money on him?
No but I have him in my ca team.
I hoped he could maybe get both the stage win and the blue jersey on one day which would have been great
Suprising in a bad way that Cicco can't climb with Brambilla & Großschartner!
On the other hand, they both finished in front of Ciccone on the last three mountain stages.

whats that?

my favorite cycling reference, the original nintendo or atari game where the kid delivers newspapers on his bmx bike. with the simple graphics when he turns he basically turns 90 degrees, so when the riders start zig-zagging up a hill he's doing the paper boy

Pinot cracking line this shows at least one thing, Dumoulin has to attack Froome. After a day like yesterday everyone can blow up. If Dumoulin doesn't attack I'd say that probably means he is about to blow up as well

Did it really make sense to send back Preidler and Reichenbach to Pinot, when it must have been clear that he is completely on the sand? He also would have had Morabito anyway. Top 15 and top 20 GC place thrown away. Not that it counts that much, but better than having no one in the top 30.

There's really not much difference if Reichenbach ends 15th or 20th. Showing support for the team's star rider means more.

I think this is just treating their leader well.

Pinot constantly coughs. Must've caught a light bronchitis on Finestre! Obviously ill.

Needs the Dawgs ventolin
He should have ridden next to Froome. Froome would have offered it to him.
Dont think it wouldve helped him though.

I don't get Movistar and Sunweb. Unless you feel your leader is about to crack, what do you have to lose?

Just come in from a bike ride and turned on the racing, the first thing that came to my mind was, pink doesn't suit Froome! . Gutted for Pinot, sad day for him and his team.

Nieve saves the race for Mitchelton!

Climbing ace indeed!
I remember when he interviewed after leaving Sky and he said I'd like to win again, especially in a GT. He wanted to win for his kids.
If he does it, I'd be very happy for him.(On his b'day in fact. :) )

To be fair, you can hardly say Mitchelton has had a terrible Giro overall.

I notice a lot of top riders constantly cough. I don't think the sport at this level is particularly healthy for the body.
