I hope I'm not cursing him but it looks like Almeida will keep the jersey until the TT now. Very well, he's done as best as possible; obviously the routed helped a lot but there were still a couple of hard stages to handle and he did well.

I guess NTT underestimated the work to reel the breakaway by themselves. I just hope he will still try something in one of the last hills after all that work done.

Campenaerts is a monster, or is the GPS wonky again?

edit: confused chasing group 2 with the peloton.

I expect massive gaps on the weekend. Terrible weather combined with a hard pace in the last few days takes a lot out of the riders. Wouldn´t be suprised to see even more 3rd week collapses this year.

Ruben Guerreiro looks be back to his last year's Vuelta shape, top20 climber right there. Could be a helping hand for Almeida perhaps

Wiggins is actually pretty interesting to listen to, unlike Eisel lol
Yeah I just hate the way he is behaving, like a convict or biker from a gang. I mean, he's playing it too "cool guy", but that's a personal opinion.

So, if either of the front duo wins, every current WT rider from their respective countries will have a GT stage win.
