Masnada turned out to be a pretty good mid season acquisition so far. Quickstep had a few injuries with Stybar, Remco and Jakobsen (just to name the most prominent ones) and he filled the gap and then some. Great so see that Almeida still has 2 riders with him. I honestly didnt expect Quickstep so good in support.

Honoré has been impressive as well. Never noticed him much up until this race.

I feel like we had fireworks anyway. How many times do you see the bunch reduced to 25 riders 60k out on a hilly day in a GT? it just didn't blow up completely at the end
Yes. I think it was shaping up to be a great showdown, but then the cold rain literally put a damper on things. Hard to take big risks when you can't feel your handlebars.

If Narvaez wins this and with Ganna stages + the next two ones from the remaining ITT, Ineos can leave the Giro with 5 stages. They also had Castroviejo and Puccio in 2nd...Nice showing.

Imagine two teams(Ineos and FdJ) winning more than half of the stages.

Nvm, Padun will catch Narvaez

That pucture might actually work in Padun's favour if they're both more tired at the finish and it becomes more a test of strength than speed

Almeida is the only one in the group of the GC favorites riding without a jacket, not even arm warmers... The maglia rosa must keep him warm :p
