Factchcek here

1-2 is even :D 1x TDF 1xQuebec and 2x TDS for Matthews. 1x WCRR (this was not a sprint though Sagan went solo). 1x TDF, 1x Pologne, 1X California for Sagan. Sagan has 18 additional wins when Matthews was top 10 though.

Only one time Québec (Sagan wasn't at the start in 2018) but he also has a Vuelta stage from 2014 where Sagan didn't go top 100.

Edit: Okay, I'm a bit confused what you're talking about now. But apparently, Matthews has won five races where Sagan was also present. Four of those times, Sagan was 2nd, the last time he was 129th.

Any Giro stage, or Canadian, Czech, whatever race that makes Ulissi favorite is a cheap, short, borderline meaningless entertainment that makes him a half trick pony, it can be exhilarating until three minutes after the finish then we can move on quickly. Only Stephen Cummings' late ambushes gets from wow to meh more quickly. I have nothing against them, it's just those kinds of stages...
