I think its what called exaggeration to make a point. Im not a masochist, just a simple man who likes to watch grown men on bikes ride long and hard cycling stages in all kinds of weather as long as its not on icy roads and obvious dangerous. Thats not the case today...

My last complaint for the next ten minutes: After just asking a spectator's question about glasses in the rain they are answering the same question again a few days later.
I know, it's hours, but imagine watching the football WC and the commentators again and again explaining what is a corner, what are these things that they have under their shoe soles, what's that white line around the goal for, why does the guy in the goal wear these gloves and what are they made off... because there are so many people watching the matches who otherwise don't watch football.

Actually if you wanted a 'pure race' then you would finish on top of the Giau or neutralise the descent - I fear GC riders will not go 100% on the climb because of the descent.
