Why? Without it he wouldn't be able to be in the breakaway and he wouldn't be in the top10 either.Of course we now have to revisit the issue of Almedia having to wait for the Prodigy earlier in the Giro

Nibali better win the stage as to me they are doing too much ahead to improve Almeida's GC position
I don't really care what they are wearing tbh. I just find the idea that "getting a kiss from a woman" is a price you win for doing something completely unrelated to that woman hilariously old fashioned. In any case, I wasn't trying to start a podium girl discussion. I just found it funny that something that is so completely unrelated to the racing itself was put in the same post as all those other things about the actual racing that used to be better.I am guessing 98 stands for 1898 and you have time travelled from the past if you consider the usual cycling podium girl attire as scantily clad.

Anyway I have no idea why these were ladies' races in both cases
Sure bud. I couldn't care less what people think about me, but when I have looked forward to this stage for weeks and they ruin the stage because "its gonna be very unpleasant", im gonna get mad. This is just not a one-off, its a part of a grander scheme which makes me vomit.![]()
But yes, today's stage would probably have been rideable as designed.
I too don't think women have any agency, so of course it is up to us to save the helpless podium girls.Oh, you were serious.
Mmkay, my intent was to just continue the jesting tone of your post.Sure bud. Too right, you can't do anything these days. Back in the day you could regularly buy races, ride around hopped up on meth and so on.I just want to return to the mid 00's where riders didnt give a * and went faster than motorbikes, where race organizers had integrity and there were no stupid rider representatives, where podium girls were celebrated and where cycling didnt have these stupid new wave fans that dont know * about the history of our sport and side with these shitty organisations every time they call for cancellings and shortenings.
We need Trump to make our sport great again.
But apparently, worker representation and high mountain stages in rainy whether is mutually exclusive. Unlucky...Mmkay, my intent was to just continue the jesting tone of your post.(But sure, I vouch for progressive reforms, rider (ie worker) representation, AND high mountain stages).

Up to this point, everyone complained about only breakaway guys fighting for stages. And here comes Nibali in the breakawayIt's a shame the peloton didn't race up the first climb in order to try to ditch Ganna.
Ganna can control way too long for the break to make a serious dent in terms of time gains.
Almeida can still enter top 10 via a breakaway.

Honestly I wonder why some self-styled hardcore cycling fans don't get their fix watching nutters on youtube push it way past the limit descending on open roads and riding at high speed in heavy traffic.
I think its what called exaggeration to make a point. Im not a masochist, just a simple man who likes to watch grown men on bikes ride long and hard cycling stages in all kinds of weather as long as its not on icy roads and obvious dangerous. Thats not the case today...Too right, you can't do anything these days. Back in the day you could regularly buy races, ride around hopped up on meth and so on.

Say it ain't so. Even Top 5 is looking good.
