Aren't you getting a little hung up over minor details here?

It is the queen stage of Il Giro, the one true Tappone, Arabba nor Falzarego are fine.A finish at Arabba would fine, but I'd also be cool with Falzarego instead of Giau.
That's my biggest fear as well. With the weather, even if it's not changed, I'm pretty sure we'll see nothing.
Me as well. For this stage I’m sorry if the weather (rain) is bad because it will mess with the cam feeds and also take away the scenery I’ve been looking forward to. But I’ve just decided to enjoy it no matter what (ok, not it’s a 40 rider coffee ride pace through). Love watching climbers in alpine playgrounds like this one. It’s the type of riding I always loved when I could still do i!I have been looking forward to this stage ever since the start.. I haven't been able to watch the Giro this much this year, and also have found it rather dull the times I have watching apart from a few occasions. This cant disappoint, right?
Last time in 2017 was horrible.Proper Dolomiti tapponeOver 200 kms. As it should be.
Has a Dolomiti stage ever been wrongly designed by rcs? I can only remember epic 6 hour and sometimes even 7 hour stages.![]()
Oh, that’s a bummer for you; sorry!I was incredibly hyped for this, mostly because I took a few days off and planned on being on Fedaia.
But the weather is so bad that I might watch it on TV.
2017 had a bunch of shocking stages tbh.Last time in 2017 was horrible.
Which is not only cool that he did that, but also that a former elite pro would still care about bike racing to the extent he would be up there on that climb on a cold rainy day!Apparently the guy who restrained that idiot yesterday was actually Gibo.![]()
It wasn't superb in 2016 either, despite Kruijswijk riding off Nibali. 2008 didn't deliver anything as well.Last time in 2017 was horrible.

Fedaia & Giau are roughly 8 kilometers of hard percentages. Pordoi isn't really hard with today's gearing.
Kill me, but I fear these Dolomites stages aren't as much effort for the big favorites anymore as they used to.
Last time in 2017 was horrible.
My guess is that he peaked for Alps because they weren't invited to the Giro and a good showing/GC there is still quite a good result for Androni. Then when they had the Giro Invitation it was obviously too late to change that peak and they could only try to conserve as much shape as possible by holding him back till 3rd week and higher altitude. What's up with Cepeda? I understand that the Tour of the Alps is at a different level but he has been completely absent!!!!
I'm talking about this ***:Yeah but i doubt they planned that as a mountain stage.
And both Nibali and Quintana were desperate to attack too, both tried on Gardena and went nowhere cause it's just pretty easyI'm talking about this ***:

With the same start and finish (and similar length), you could make an awesome stage instead.
Passo Gardena from Gardena-Valparola-Giau-Fedaia-Pordoi (or Sella) is IMO the best possible sequence of climbs in that area, unless you want to throw something crazy like Rifugio Talamini/Forcella Chiandolada from Vodo di Cadore in before Forcella Staulanza.Design was great in 2016.
In 2012 it was hype as well but action super underwhelming. I would like that Duron/Staulanza/Giau combo back before Falzarego or Valparola one day. Can also replace Giau with Fedaia then Pordoi and you have 4 big climbs in very quick succession.
Yeah, that one was just BAD.I'm talking about this ***:

We miss the ensuing melee nonethelessI have committed many sins against the Dutch mafia in my days. They've never been onto me.
Yeah, that would have been a wonderful stage, but nope, they had to go for the worst possible option.2017 could have been Pordoi-Campolongo-Valparola-Giau-Fedaia-Sella
Same for Monte GrappaYeah, that would have been a wonderful stage, but nope, they had to go for the worst possible option.
