Roads seem passable and the weather not too bad from the quick scan of the various webcams. The forecast also doesn't seem too bad. So as long as the weather does not get worse and there is no ice on the road somewhere the stage looks fine to be raced in full to me.

Edit: that aged well

I don't understand the logic of neutralizing the part of the stage which would likely have the best weather

Bettiol just told RAI that the riders are ok with starting with these conditions...
I guess riders are not on the same page.

it was the same last year, Ineos and a couple of other teams (Bora were one I think?) wanted to ride the full stage, others didn’t.

I hope Vegni stands firm and doesn't active the EWP. It has to be established that the conditions are dangerous for that to be on the table, not merely being unpleasant.

Unless you're in Italy you can't really know if conditions are dangerous.

The way some of you guys are acting, you'd think they cancelled races every time the temperature dropped below 15 degrees Celcius (or went above 30 degrees Celcius). However, as we all know... that's not the case.

What kind of exclusive information is it that you think the riders have access to?

Seems like a significant part of the peloton has taken up the wrong sport and should've taken up football or golf instead.

Yea, kinda annoying when people getting paid handsomely to ride bikes throw hissy fits whenever there's the slightest hint of inclement weather.

I'd let the riders be the judges of whether or not the weather is actually dangerous. You know... it takes a lot for races to be cancelled/neutralised.

Being in Italy. Being right where the weather is.
