Its classic Ineos racing. They are so accustomed to just having the best rider, even though that hasn't been the case since the late 10's. They are still riding as if they can just control everything and set it up for their superior rider, but thats not really the case most likely as I think both Roglic and Almeida will prove stronger in the high mountains.I think Ineos is really, really stupid. This was their only chance to put any sort of pressure on Jumbo and iirc they blocked off the road instead of sending Arensman or de Plus up there. Now they‘re just hoping that Almeida and Roglič lose to Geraint Thomas.
I don't get why the producers showed it. Like streakers, you should cut it out of the pictures. Will the wheelsuckers continue through the smoke or will they demand the race to be canceled??
Maybe to somehow justify the poor performance of the riders?I don't get why the producers showed it. Like streakers, you should cut it out of the pictures.
Why did he actually drop from the cliff that much? Sick?Vine sure wasn't holding back when asked how his form is:
"Errr.. ***!"
C'mon, you cannot be serious arguing the issue is riders going around to blockage, not the ones doing the blocking. If a team decides to block the entire final climb of a mountain stage would you still be saying "oh well, that's sport".It's not dangerous if done right. Once in place where they move minimally and only in an easily predictable manner, it is safe. Even if annoying.
But some riders are willing to ride hazardously to get around it.
I think it's not only a legitimate strategy, I think it's actively good that it is employed. But it should be regulated (just like other aspects of racing) so that riders get punished if they recklessly endanger other riders, or if they use their arms to stop other riders.
I think so.Why did he actually drop from the cliff that much? Sick?
No one has it as their right that other riders, the peloton as a whole, must move to the side and give them a clear lane. Ask any sprinter that. If you want to be in a good enough position, you must fight for it.C'mon, you cannot be serious arguing the issue is riders going around to blockage, not the ones doing the blocking. Idk, I just can't believe some people are seriousy saying teams should have the power to decide whether riders from different teams are allowed to attack or not. Laying the blame on those riders not willing to abide to the wish of one or two teams...I honestly don't even know what to say...
Rubio is trying to close that gap way too fast.
They've stopped the cars while he's still half a minute behind and can't see whats ahead in those twisty roads. Let's hope he doesn't take a wrong turn somewhere.Rubio is trying to close that gap way too fast.
