That stage was brutal. Brutally awful. Rabottini out in front all day, which was nice. No action from the Favorites. Szmyd pulling for Basso. Only Cunego attacked, but that move was unfruitful.

Then the only good thing about the stage seemed to go down the river as well when Purito closed the gap to Rambo.

Are we really desperate enough to sugarcoat that stage ?

Love if Carthy, Pinot and Caruso go on a long range attack.....these 3 can
maybe Kamna too but not sure how he feeling ...didnt look great the last time they climbed

I hold out no hope for G, Roglic or Almeida doing any long range attacking

Wouldnt it be great if some one from the bottom half of the top 10 just blew the bloody doors off and went for it when JV and Ineos numbers were very low

Wow, yes, i.e. having such a hard stage immediately after a rest day is already a question mark for some riders who don't perform at their best after a day off from racing but the sudden warmer weather as well... this could get interesting.
