Giro d'Italia Giro d'Italia 2023, stage 17: Pergine Valsugana - Caorle 195 km

Tbf this stage is pointless for a breakaway. The route means they've no chance really unless the sprinter teams just aren't interested.
The last three pan-flat stages in third weeks of the Giro have all gone to the breakaway (Cima in 2019, Cerny in that farce in 2020, De Bondt last year). Without Groves or Pedersen and with Ackermann having no and Milan few teammates who will pull, a repeat was certainly possible.
