First stage I cant watch from the start, I expect a big battle for the breakaway and a great finale. Otherwise I probably should consider not using my saturdays watching cycling, eh?

Watching the last 10 km won't make you a no-life, I suppose.

Nice last 50km. I guess the GC teams would prefer a breakaway win, potentially very difficult to control that last 50k if the peloton is together. I think Healy or Buitrago from the break.

even if, there's no protocol anymore, so he wouldn't be forced to leave the race. Just depends on if he is fit enough or not.

Apparently Groves has a "cold" as well, btw. And his team mate Conci was a DNS with covid yesterday.

So Primoz has COVID, ok. Now it's clear why he's lost time so far (and will lose tomorrow). Get ready for a demolition once he gets rid of it. Remco will have nightmares for months following this race.

Ineos was so close with each other, this has to be game over for either Tao Geoghegan Hart or Geraint Thomas soon as well. Probably Tao!

How are these guys getting covid? The external cases are pretty low compared to the peak times. But the relative number cases w.r.t cycling are very high. Other than double Covid winner Gaviria and triple Covid winner Sagan, i thought the rest were risk averse.

Maybe it's just that they're getting tested, and make it public that they get positives.
While other people might just think "Oh, I got a cold. Better stay at home til I get better." which - in some cases - could actually be covid, just... unknown to be such.

Here's a good reason as to why.

This, and also their immune sistem is probably a bit weakened by the riding in the cold and rain.
