No experts have mentioned sprinters for this stage because if someone does so they're simply not an expert
I remember commentators on German Eurosport talking about sprinters on Stage 2 of the 2019 Vuelta only for it to be a GC day. They were surprised that Sam Bennett didn‘t even try to make it over the climb.

lol, yeah, German Eurosport has been talking about Ackermann winning this stage for days now.

I mean, it would be amazing if he does, he seems to be in great climbing shape, and I wouldn't generally exclude a strong sprinter to have a chance, given that the break will likely form on the flat. But Voigt and Migels just didn't check the stage profile.

Today's stage certain offers opportunities for a GC rider/team to attack at the end (these hilly stages are often better for that than the mountain ones). Let's hope that someone tries it as the TT tomorrow should put Remco further into the GC lead.

A shame about Ganna's abandon too.

The same Voigt who argued there was nothing De Marchi and Clarke could have done to avoid being caught two days ago? Must be a day for the sprinters then.

was that a bit of a panic move by remco to go into that break? A shame that there are no hills for the next 100 k...that would have been fun

They weren't this nationalistic a decade ago or in zeroes. Especially not Migels!

Sad that they copy the public broadcasting coverage style nowadays.
