That was more like closing down that move, I think, and signalling that they will do that to any move. Their general pace allows Caleb Ewan to chill out in the group, so I don't think it really impresses any would-be attackers.
That's the balance. Going as slow as possible while staying in control.

But neither the break nor DSM want the break to win today.

Obviously RCS are not very good at public comms, or designing contracts, but the CPA seem to be really annoying. The CPA guy on RAI yesterday also didn't deny that they had agreed with RCS plans to then later go back and write open letters against the plans.

Flobikes did an interview with Hansen yesterday, where he basically said that the organizers could have presented whatever they wanted, their answer was "no"

This seems to not be true, though, and it seems they said yes to Monday's plans and then Tuesday's Livigno ride, before then saying no. That's according to Paolo Bellino and Vegni, and Cristian Salvato (CPA) didn't deny it.
