Yup, I don’t understand the comments that Carapaz didn’t try. Then it was up to Del Toro to push the pace.Well Carapaz did nearly blow entirely near the end of the Finestre riding his tail off to drop del Toro and catch Yates. When he clearly was doing neither, and nearly took himself out, that's when he just sat on del Toro's wheel. So you saw flat out racing from one of the two until he had nothing left. It is just that happened before the final climb
How it was for Yates in terms of W/Kg? Probably something above 6 w/kg.

The Ecuadorians and Mexicans fans are going at each other apparently, I can't speak much Spanish but I like scrolling through the posts and basking in the ill-feeling.Yeah, I can hardly wait for the Tour...of Austria. Del Toro vs. EF vs. UAE round 2.
This post did not age well.......They're going stupidly fast, Majka will be back laughing at everyone 20 minutes from now
Well, I’m glad to know you’ve volunteered to be hall monitor and will hand out or revoke passes as appropriate. He couldn’t drop him on the Fenestre, but if they’d kept Yates within 10-20s and close enough to bridge then other options come into play.
I think especially given how fresh Del Toro seemed getting across the line that MOST of the blame probably falls to UAE, but to give Carapaz a pass on it is letting him off easy. IMHO.
I think his performance today will be in the graph called ''mutant''. Very impressive. How it was for Yates in terms of W/Kg? Probably something above 6 w/kg.
+100%Oh yeah, didn't mean to mislead, I REALLY appreciated what Carapaz tried to do today, he was all in early on. For me it the valley, as Sean Kelly basically stated, even the juniors know there is one tactic there, and if you want to win it's team time trialing to shut down Yates, THEN worry about each other.
I made many posts today, a few of them didn't age well. And some did. This post did not age well.......
Could also be bluster to cover feeling like he failed. It was a bit weird. Some riders get a bit macho at the finish line, even if it is for no apparent benefit.
Good spot.It has never looked better for Simon Yates
6.1 is something fantastic, especially for the fact the last 8 kilometers are gravel.
95 is basically something only Vingegaard and Pogacar have broken, with Pogacar hitting like 110 on Plateau de Beille or some insanity

It's really easy before though, and it's the only 60 minute climb they do full gas from the start.6.1 is something fantastic, especially for the fact the last 8 kilometers are gravel.
Turned out to be a key observation. Well spotted.Del Toro probably should go to the front and set the tempo
He's going to get cooked with this accelerate and slow
These guys just need to sleep for a few days. I wish folks wouldn’t put so much credence in what riders say after a brutal stage at the end of 3 weeks of racing,I don't think that's obvious at all – and obviously Carapaz would say that
Did Pool make it to the top with Pellizzari and Caruso?

They will probably update the numbers in the following hours but the performance index is telling. Anything above 90 is extreme.6.1 is something fantastic, especially for the fact the last 8 kilometers are gravel.
Have said it before a few times, Yates should have left Jayco years ago. He was too comfortable there and not making any progress. Really pleased for him, but he could have had lot more success.
Sadly, for him no. He lost his stake.Del Toro winning the game of poker right now
Exactly Finestre is a climb of attrition. You set a steady hard pace, without shooting all your bullets in the beginning. How could EF have thought attacking from the bottom was a good idea?Yates did clearly an amazing performance, still I wonder why Ef were trying to launch Finestre like it was Redoute or something like that. I think they somewhat cooked Carapaz by doing that.
