This is an internet forum. People don't come here to be nice, in case you haven't noticed.

Regardless, should TOAK win something, I will ease off in my criticism of him.

1. You are suppose to show some manners on an internet forum, if we all treated eac other like pieces of **** then the forum certainly wouldn't operate well.
2. I think you're criticism is a little unfair and over the top. If you are going to bag someone then at least offer some constructive criticism and don't just take 'pot shots' at him.

Armstrong still #1.

And we've eased off on talking about TGBM, even if he's ridden some perfectly decent races so far this year.

Armstrong should at least get some attention for winning 7 tdf in a row

Meh, I think you are being a little nasty and over the top. It seems sad that you need to go so far to denigrate someone.

Perhaps it stems from your habit of putting forward riders not because of their ability, but because they are simply from the right team?

Perhaps stating this in such a strong way is the counter-reaction to your way of jamming it in everyones face without any discretion?

Perhaps... I'm wrong? .... who knows!

It would be a close 2nd with tgbm.
TGBM wins races and finished 2nd in Castilla y Leon last month with being a leader until the the ITT..

nice try, but wrong analogy :) keep trying cutie\\

Even Rujano performs more with all the hype around him than Kristoff

Oh, just have a look throughout the thread and observe all the other people who mentioned AK for the stage. I am hardly throwing it down someones face. If you or anyone doesn't like my posts then I invite anyone who thinks that to put me on ignore.

People have brains and can think for themselves. A lot of the time I am just having some light hearted fun with people about it of which there is some friendly banter. Obviously people such as moondance don't like it so I will stop.

It wasnt such a terrible performance from AK anyway, after all people dont expect much from him. If he gets another top 10 in stage 12 it would be a decent giro. At least he has consistency

He's not insulting you, at worst he's insulting some guy nobody here has ever met (I guess).

He has some professional victories, if those counts. But none in BMC colors yet so yeah a bit dissapointing for a sprinter

If this is your opinion why not put moondance on ignore?

I agree a forum isn't a super friendly place. I personally like a bit of hostility.
And when you hype a rider, naturally people are gonna throw it in your face. Take ryo for example, I personally like Rujano, but his super-pro-colombian force reactions from myself and others, much like the dutch and gesink have forced ant-gesink goers. Part of this forum nature, deal with it.

And quite frankly, Moondance has only said facts. Kristoff is not a very impressive sprinter at this point.

1. I'm a pretty reasonable person. I've never called anyone something unpleasant on this forum without making it 100% clear it's nothing more than a joke. I was banned once for using inappropriate language, although it wasn't directed in any way at another user. Only other reprimands I've ever received from mods were about talking politics in a non-Cafe thread. In short, I don't think I've ever treated another user like a 'piece of shit'.

2. Well, is it unfair to (keep) pointing out Kristoff doesn't have a pro win to his name? Its a fact.

So he won national races plus stages at the Grenland GP and Ringerike GP... I mean, c'mon.

I'm so sorry. I didn't know Alexander had outsprinted cycling greats like Joachim Bohler, and Daniel Holm Foder in a stage of a 2.2 race two years ago.

Even the honour roll of Coen Vermeltfoort looks far more impressive than that of Kristoff, but do you ever hear people about him? (f.ex in the ToC topic)?
(Vermeltfoort beat Kristoff on a regular basis at the U23')

How many other professional cyclists took part in the Ringerike GP, or the Norwegian Nats for that matter?

They might be perfectly good victories for a young neo-pro, as Kristoff indeed was at the time, but after a few years riding with the big boys, you'd have expected more from someone who purportedly has talent, no?

I do think he has the worst positioning of any "sprinter" I've ever seen.

But he did ok the other day 4th beated by a couple of cm by alejet. Thought the uphill was harder and would do ok again, but clearly not.

I think Fischer was happy :D

Saw that moment on the heli-cam. Ventoso's lead out peeled off to the right just as Fischer began his sprint and tried to pass him on the same side. Not his fault, don't think, but frustrating.
