This will be the stage for the non-hilly sprinters to try and get up there when competing with Cav or Pettachi.

My 5:

Cavendish
Pettachi
Ferrari
Belletti

Alternative prediction game: what is the maximum time a break will be allowed to have during the stage? Its 184 km, straight, flat and possibly windy. I go for 12 mins 30 secs.

Not that it really competes with the accuracy of WS's profile of the stage but here's the RCS profile for the stage:

This is the stage I'll just catch the highlights of.
I know it's rude to do such, but it'll be a little boring and time for me to catch up on some housework..hahaha.I may run the hoover around whilst I'm watching it.
I'm predicting Harman and Kelly to break at least 3 smiles during this stage whilst they try to make this one exciting.. Which is unlikely.

I'm not keen on Cav et all leaving after this stage, seems a cop out and a bit pointless starting the whole thing IMO. But it'll be Cav that wins it for sure.

They could lighen this one up by substituting their current steads with Boris bikes laden with Lemons and Olives, but keep the lycra.

Can I just take this opportunity to note that although I love cycling as a sport, the sight of fat commuter cyclists running lights and generally building up ill will towards cyclists in general by motorists really annoys me.

And my walk to work crosses over several of the new bike lanes, so I can very near run over at least once a week...

+1

worse than the "fat commuters" are the "blind drunk commuters" (seriously, often found tumbling off at lights at about midnight) and the "haven't been on a bike for 15 years, or ever in a town, but these boris bikes seem like fun" (wobbling, not looking, both feet off the pedals to stop)

these mean that the recent govt push to increase cycling, can have little positive impact on the health of society, due to an increase in fatal and near fatal collisions involving bikes.

Nope, never saw it. I'm not much of a tv guy. Except for sports.
