Sella took 15, Garzelli none on the first climb.

Second climb: Garzelli 9, Sella 5

Which means Sella has 20pts and is 4th in the KoM classification.
Garzelli has 17, since he had 8pts from before.

If Sella gets Cima Coppi + Fedaia, places well in the MTT and takes the 1st cat in the middle of stage 19, he has a chance of repeating his Maglia Verde win.

I don't think so. Too strong a group.

there are better climbers out there. But he has been climbing well too with his 20th GC. Not saying he will win just rooting for him.

tschopp for the win and cima coppi. can the cima coppi be put into your palmares.
I wonder what kind of reception he'd get if he is the first up the Passo Giau, after he attacked Simoni to be first on the Cima Coppi last year.

Roberto Amadio admits Nibali is fighting for podium (aka June 6th GC)

Hey, isnt that the guy who went full *** and said something like that Giro should be shortened for Cali?

Im hoping contador will crack like in paris nice 2009. Anyone got a video of that.

I'm sure it's on youtube. You realize it was a hunger knock right? He just didn't eat. And since then that's happened exactly . . . never again. :p So I wouldn't get your hopes up too high.

EDIT: OT, Italy is freaking beautiful. I really have to make it over there soon.

I don't think contador will crack, but i remember someone saying, probably on this forum, that his one weakness was his stamina? That in long stages with multiple long climbs, and hard racing, he can get tired and become vulnerable for attacks? I don't remember who said it, or what it was based on, but if it's correct, today is surely the day to test the theory.

You just wait til Fedaia.

Anyway, Contador was done over by Antón, Mosquera and Soler last April, it can be done without him having the hunger knock.

If it starts raining and the weather turns cold - with this 10min advantage could we get an Aquila moment - with Sastre back in contention?

I forget the forum members name (Issosso?), but he seemed fairly knowledgeable. I know Saxo Bank put that theory to the test in Tour in 2009 and 2010.
