Rujano probably biggest loser today, if it's true he doesn't care for rain and cold.

Nibali attacked too early. He blew energy and won't get antything in return. He should have attacked on the Fedeia not the Giau

I doubt he used up alot of energy. He is a better descender. He wasn't even really pushing that hard down the hill.

Of course Anton will help chase Nibali, they are racing each other, not Contador.

Did Scarponi DNS today or what...

But now he need to push hard on the climb, while Contador is working with the other spaniards.

+1 I think he actually used less energy then Contador, the truly great descenders do it purely on skill not effort.

Speak of the devil... I hope he's just been pacing himself, with eyes on the stage win. 2mins to Garzelli is nothing.

I'm hoping Garzelli makes it to the top of Fedaia first though as I don't want Contador to win all 3 jerseys, and since Sella only took about 3 points at the Cima Coppi he's not as much of a threat to the GPM as Garzelli is.

Not sure he will, Sella/Di Luca look good.

Worst case scenario for Nibali, arrives with Contador group to the last descent...best case he arrives before...

SO it is
Garzelli
then
Neive and Bakelandts
then
Seeldrayers
then
Di Luca and Sella
then Nibali

or are Hoogerland, Tschopp etc still ahead of Nibali.

Interesting stage so far!

I certainly didn't expect Contador to close the gap to JRod and Arroyo since that would explode the peloton, but he did. Because of this we got an obliterated peloton so no more help from domestiques. Everyone on it's own.

Nibali attacking on the descent, allthough it seems it doesn't take that much effort.

Awesome!

I expect AC to close the gap on the climb rather fast again though. He has to work for it now though :)

the others would be smart to make ac do all the work.
He'll catch nibbles, but waste energy.
